1871 Census .....

Post by nelmit » Mon Aug 07, 2006 11:18 am

Here is Elizabeth Barnet/Barnett/Barney (ms Hood) with daughters Charlotte and Betsy in the 1881 census.
I have searched the 1871 on SP but can't find them. :?
I thought Charlotte was the obvious choice but searching for Char Barn* gives 3 results and none in Angus.
Elizabeth's husband's name was James.

For those of you who are aware of my quest to find David Mitchell born about 1868 - I have discovered that his son Andrew married Catherine Hughes who was the daughter of William age 2 on the 1881.
This led me right back to William's gran Eliza(beth) Hood - the name of David's mother. :x Most frustrating!

Anyway if anyone can find Elizabeth in 1871 I'd be grateful.

Kind regards,
Annette M

Annette, I have to say its very refreshing to see someone with your skills with wild cards and ways of finding people having problems.
