McCluskey / Collins wedding certificate SORTED MANY THANKS

Post by weepearlie » Fri Jun 26, 2009 4:13 pm

Hello All
I wondered if someone might be able to advise me, as to where the best place to obtain this information is.
I'm trying to find the details to a marriage between
Margaret McCluskey b 1888, Glasgow, parents Daniel & Annie McLuskey.
to
Vincent Clare Collins b 1890, ireland.
If anyone has any ideas, I would be grateful for them.

Hi Wendy,

Have you any idea when or where they married? A quick look at ScotlandsPeople doesn't show any likely candidates for a marriage in Scotland up to their 1933 cut-off year.

All the best,

AndrewP

Hi Wendy

This looks likely on freebmd: www.freebmd.org.uk

Marriages Jun 1914
Collins Vincent C McCluskey Newcastle T. 10b 256
McCluskey Margaret Collins Newcastle T. 10b 256

So April, May or June 1914, as the above refers to the June QUARTER, not the month of June.
To find out more you would need to send for a copy of the cert from GRO
http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/

Best wishes
Lesley
