This message is for Steve, David or anyone else looking for Lando relations. I am Laurence Lando's daughter and so Beryl would have been my aunt of course. I only met Philip twice; the last time was at Laurie's funeral in Monmouth. I don't remember my grandmother (Augusta) although my father did take me to visit her when I was very young. I have two younger brothers, Chris and Jeremy.

My father was very secretive about his family and I didn't even know his real surname until quite recently because Philip's surname was Landau (pronounced Lando) and he told me he was Laurie's brother at the funeral! Laurie changed his to Landor! So you can imagine the problems we have been having tracing the family. I'd love to know why all the secrecy ....

I would be happy to share what information I can with Steve and anyone else who is trying to trace the family. So far I've got back to "Scottish builder (John) in Biggar, originally from Genoa - I assume when the Jews were thrown out. They came to Scotland because the then Pope had just excommunicated Scotland so obviously they thought they would be safe there.
