Just realised if wee George was born in 1880 then he can't be Ann Keith's son. :? Looking at the census records at Ancestry I'm sure I have the correct George Lamb senior at Cookney from 1871 - 1901.

Annette

Mary Lamb was at her parent's home in Cookney in the 1891 census.

Alexander Hadden seems to be elusive in the 1891 census searches.

Annie's maternal grandmother's death in the 1880s (later than the census) is easily found on ScotlandsPeople if you search for Jane Hadden with other surname Smart. Interesting cause of death - I'll let you find that one.
I think Mary's mother was Ann Keith who died in 1875.

George is with Mary and wee George in 1881 and Ann and Mary in 1871.
Correction to my earlier post, it was Annie's paternal grandmother Jane Hadden, m.s. Smart, who died in the 1880s.

Annette has found the correct maternal grandmother's death in 1875 - Ann McDonald Lamb (ms. Keith or McDonald).

George Lamb remarried a few years later, with George junior being the product of that marriage. In 1880 George was widowed once more, when George junior was less than 6 months old.

All the best,

AndrewP
